The FCC Web site is an area!
In July last year, Brazil had 9,247,290 mobile post-paid and 21,790,536 mobile pre-paid, and 3.29% used technology AMPS, TDMA 62.86%, 33.34% and 0.51 CDMA % GSM.
A year later, the number of mobile post-paid rose to 10,375,959 and the mobile pre-paid to 28,444,701. The technology is now divided into 2.02% for AMPS, TDMA to 58.04%, 30.80% to 9.04% and CDMA to GSM.
With this data you can see that the number of cellular pre-paid plan is the most increased and GSM has been gaining more strength, already passing AMPS (which is ultra passed and try to fade). TDMA and CDMA have lost a little of Marquet Share, but remain strong.
A year ago, was primarily used the "Mobile Service - SMC" and is now going on a migration to the "Service - SMP". It is because of this change we now have to use the code in the long-distance phone.
About the SMP operators have separate rates for the 4 different types of service:
I-call originated or terminated in the SMP within an Area record SMP;
II-call originated or terminated in the SMP, between Areas Registry SMP whose first digits of the National Code - CN are identical;
III-call originated or terminated in the SMP, between Areas Registry SMP whose first digits of the National Code - CN are different;
IV-international calls.
